After leaving her hometown in South Georgia, Jami attended Georgia College and State University (GC&SU) where she completed her undergraduate studies.  While there, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double major in marketing and management.  She was also heavily involved in Greek Life at GC&SU.  Jami then went on to complete her Master of Education in Higher Education and her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University.  Jami is currently enrolled in Georgia Southern University’s Doctorate in Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education. Jami is currently the Director of Student Life at Dalton State College.  She also serves as the Past-President of the Georgia College Personnel Association (GCPA), as the Southeast Regional Area Coordinator for the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities, and as a recent Executive Leadership Institute Scholar though the USG.  She loves campus programming, student development, and strategic planning.  Aside from work, Jami also enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, exercising, and making healthy lifestyle choices. Amber is originally from Austintown, Ohio. For her undergraduate studies, she attended Ashland University. While there, Amber earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Political Science and History. Amber was very involved on campus during her undergraduate studies. She was a Resident Assistant and was a member of a sorority. After graduation, Amber went on to study Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel at Kent State University where she was awarded a Master’s of Education.

Amber began working at Dalton State in August of 2011. She is currently the Coordinator for Leadership and Civic Engagement. She enjoys cooking, sports, and being with her husband and dogs.

Stephani Schmidt

Stephani is originally from Oxford, MI. She attended Central Michigan University where she completed her undergraduate degree. While there, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Vocal Music. She was involved on campus by being a Resident Assistant and being the music director of an all-female a cappella group. Stephani then went on to complete her Master of Science in College Student Affairs with an emphasis in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.Stephani began working at Dalton State in 2014. She is currently the Coordinator of Orientation and Leadership. She enjoys singing, baking, and pretending to be a tourist in the towns she is living in.

After growing up in California and New Jersey, Brittnie attended Texas A&M University and earned her Bachelor of Science in middle school education in 2012. Brittnie was actively involved in her sorority and the Panhellenic Council. After graduation Brittnie attended Ball State University and earned her Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education.  Brittnie joined Dalton State in the summer of 2014 and is currently the Coordinator of Student Responsibility and Service. She enjoys getting lost in books, exercising, exploring Pinterest, and watching Texas A&M football games.

Amber is originally from Piggott, Arkanasas. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Central Arkansas in 2012. She is currently enrolled in the College Student Personnel Services and Administration graduate program at UCA. In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and perusing bookstores.

Beth is originally from New Strawn, KS.  She attended Baker University in Kansas where she completed her undergraduate studies in mathematics.  At Baker, Beth was very involved in New Student Orientation, and Student Senate.  Currently she is enrolled in Texas A&M University’s Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education master’s program. Beth is a Student Life Intern for the 2014 summer.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, discovering new music, and spending time with friends.

Carla began working at Dalton State in 2013. She graduated with her AAS in Marketing and Management from Georgia Northwestern Technical College and is currently working toward her BS in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Public Administration. After graduation, Carla plans to attend graduate school and pursue her passion in either Student or Public Affairs. While at GNTC, Carla worked closely with staff and academic advisors to help further their leadership programs. Since coming to Dalton State, she has been very involved with many of the programs the we offer through the Office of Student Life. Carla heads up our DSC Game Room, advises several of our student workers, and helps with our orientation, leadership and other student programs. When not working and taking classes here at Dalton State, Carla is a full time wife and mommy. She enjoys  cooking, crafting, anything to do in the outdoors, and traveling to historic destinations with her husband and three children.
